My daughter's school (Catholic) does do a $300 fund raising fee- but then you can opt out of the fund raising when it comes around, or anything you sell- 1/2 goes to tuition... Genius! I am a teacher who HATES Open House Nights- couldn't agree with you more about every point you made! I love it when it's bad weather and no one shows up because they don't want to deal with the parking and walking a mile in the rain! Thanks for making me laugh~Pattihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04993186190720192589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6115416142476758283.post-68418306276440569002008-09-18T19:20:00.000-04:002008-09-18T19:20:00.000-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.Pattihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04993186190720192589noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6115416142476758283.post-55654514694444451392008-09-17T10:17:00.000-04:002008-09-17T10:17:00.000-04:00My kids school's big fundraiser DOES involve music...My kids school's big fundraiser DOES involve music, dancing, and alcohol! It's The Spring Fling - adults only theme party fun, complete with silent auction so you can come home tipsy with a crock pot and a mani/pedi gift certificate.

Of course, it's a Catholic school so music and booze are considered part of the fun.Amyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14258405168792203613noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6115416142476758283.post-44299749061415829032008-09-16T23:06:00.000-04:002008-09-16T23:06:00.000-04:00Hey, you're making me feel good about my Open Hous...Hey, you're making me feel good about my Open House tonight. I gossiped with my little one's teacher as I know her from when she was my older daughter's teacher. I purposely went to the late session in order to avoid all the people, so I was the only mom there in her class. :-) If anyone can convince the PTA overachievers to just let parents cut a check in place of doing fundraisers please for the love of Pete tell me how!Karenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14349303360950494430noreply@blogger.com
